FPT is a wholly-owned business of Cleveland- Cliffs and has an immediate opportunity for a Scale Clerk at one of our Detroit, M I location s . The Scale Clerk is responsible for weighing all inbound and outbound vehicles, inspecting loose loads, directing them to proper unloading areas, and assisting in the details of purchases . Summary of Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to safety standards including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), remove hazards as identified , and maintain cleanliness of the site. Accurately inspect all materials ensuring correct weights, materials description, and grade for all inbound and outbound loads. Determine the grade of the material, enter it into the inventory system, and direct to proper location. Operate & maintain mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts, skid steers .
