As a Campus Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting students, faculty, staff, and visitors by patrolling assigned areas on foot or in vehicles, monitoring buildings and grounds, and responding to emergencies. Your responsibilities include enforcing campus rules, providing escorts and assistance such as lockouts or jump-starts, reporting safety hazards, investigating incidents, and securing facilities. You'll also monitor parking areas, collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, and serve as a Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
