Title: Medical Assistant - OB/GYN Location: Upper East Side; Lower East Side; Midtown Org Unit: Nursing: Work Days: Weekdays and some weekends Weekly Hours: 35.00: Exemption Status: Non-Exempt: Salary Range: $25.11 - $26.59: *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary: Under direct supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, assists with planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.This role is also responsible for the smooth function of patient flow. Job Responsibilities: - Answers phones, responds to inquiries and triages calls to appropriate personnel. - Greets registered patients at time of visit and triages patients through the patient flow process. Checks schedules and accompanies patients to exam/procedure room. Assists patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing and preparing for exam. - Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment. Ensures standard infection control precautions are observed. - Prepares exam rooms prior to patient visit.
