About the Job: Under the general supervision of the Director of Materials Management and the direct supervision of the Patient Transportation Manager, the Patient Transporter assists nursing staff in the management of patient care through the transportation of patients between nursing departments and ancillary departments; assists in the delivery of equipment and supplies between support departments and patient care departments. What You’ll Do: - Receives instruction from nursing staff or IKE dispatch to determine appropriate mode of transport for the patient; assists nursing staff in the transfer of patient to/from bed and transport equipment; transports patients to/from nursing and ancillary departments within the Elliot Hospital - Distributes equipment and supplies including wheelchairs, stretchers, scopes, x-rays, specimens, medications, records,...
