Job Description: Ryan Companies has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Accountant to join our team in Minneapolis ! The Real Estate Accountant is a vital member of our team and responsible for taking charge of end-to-end accounting for assigned real estate properties, making a lasting impact on our organization. This position requires 4 days per week in the office, with 1 day of remote work each week. Some things you can expect to do: - Prepare and review financial statements. - Generate monthly accruals and adjust journal entries. - Perform multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. - Conduct analytical review of the General Ledger. - Track Capital Projects, calculate useful lives, and manage book value from work in progress to placement into service. - Prepare and file recurring sales tax (monthly, quarterly, or annually). - Prepare annual budgets, reforecasts, and year-end operating expense reconciliations. - Support annual tax file preparation and financial audits. - Research open accounting issues, identify potential conflicts, and take corrective action to minimized risks. - Adhere to Client Accounting Policies and Procedures to ensure consistent ful...
