Certification Engineer

Job description

Qualifications: 1. B.S. in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred. 2. Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements. 3. Must possess some knowledge of aircraft certification processes and substantiation techniques. 4. Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs. 5. Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware. 6. Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance. Preferred: 7. Knowledge of aircraft interiors. 8. Experience as a certification engineer, design engineer, or substantiation engineer. Responsibilities: 1. Develop certification plans, compliance checklists, conformity inspection plans 2. Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for flammability and cabin safety. 3.
