BI Engineer

Job description

LightEdge is seeking a skilled BI Engineer to support data & analytic functions enterprise-wide. This individual will deliver end-to-end data solutions that includes: gathering business requirements for reporting dashboards, perform data analysis, write SQL queries, ensure data integrity and build dashboards. They will partner closely with stakeholders to build high quality solutions that unlock insights from the data and drives business efficiencies. They will be seen as a data subject matter expert, providing consultation to others on best practices. Responsibilities: - Gather and document business requirements for reporting and analytics requests - Write SQL queries applying complex joins and business logic to accurately pull data needed for reporting and analytics - Administer Power BI cloud instance: provide appropriate access to users, train new users, publish and maintain certified data sources - Build Power BI dashboards by connecting Snowflake data and creating actionable visuals - Validate, analyze and document new datasources - Help establish and follow proper data governance, compliance and security practices - Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into...
