Equipment Operator (Mon, Tues, Fri & Sat)

Job description

Role of Equipment Operator Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 5:30am-5:30pm Under minimal supervision, facilitate sorting, positioning, staging and loading waste and recyclable materials for safe transport and efficient removal from the site. Essential Responsibilities: - Operates heavy equipment, such as a loader, dozer, excavator or similar equipment, as applicable to location. - Performs daily routine safety and equipment operation checks including pre- and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment. - Maintains a safe and clean work environment. - Reports issues to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner. - Acts as a lead or resource for other Equipment Operators, answering questions and providing training. - Supports other areas of the operation, as needed. - Maintains good customer relations and interacts in a professional manner with customers. - Suggests process improvements to enhance efficient removal from the site. - Other duties as assigned.
