Responsibilities: Coordinates and performs Central Bone Densitometry of the Lumbar Spine and proximal femur for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Participates in the training of new personnel. Participates in performance improvement programs. Participates in patient and family education. Observes patients and notifies appropriate personnel of significant changes/incidences. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicates with patients and their family members in order to educate, explain procedures, and obtain history and informed consent for procedures. Adhere to radiation safety precautions. Acquire, Construct and reconstruct bone density images and assist physicians with procedures. Maintain and/or order department supplies.
