Overview Element has an opportunity for a Associate Metallurgy Technician (2nd Shift) whose primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgical, mechanical, failure, corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory. Salary: $22- $26/hr DOE: Responsibilities: - Operate various abrasive saws, mounting presses and polishing equipment. - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. - Ensure laboratory instruments are in compliance with ISO, ASTM, and other industry standards. - Record test results accurately and generate detailed reports. - Maintain laboratory documentation and ensure compliance with quality control standards. - Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and laboratory best practices. - Ensure testing procedures align with ISO 17025, ASTM, ASME, and other applicable standards. - Participate in laboratory audits and continuous improvement initiatives. - Prepare metallic samples for metallurgical testing, including cutting, grinding, and polishing. - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (i.e. cleaning) such as saws, grinders, and polishers. - Ensure samples meet required specifications and indus...
