Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Grossing

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Grossing Technologist to join our team in Raritan, NJ Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (10a - 6:30p) Job Responsibilities: - Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides - Specialize in the accurate gross description and dissection of surgical specimens - Diagram pertinent gross specimens as necessary - Prepare sections of human tissue for pathologist diagnostic study - Operate laboratory instruments to properly display specimens - Perform equipment maintenance as needed - Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner - Comply with applicable safety procedures and protocol - Effectively communicate with histology team members Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Histology, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Preferred Qualifications: - 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience - 3 months or more of grossing experience - ASCP or AMT certification Additional Job Standards: At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
