Hartismere School are seeking a self-motivated individual who is keen to learn and to work closely with, and learn from, a dedicated team in the Science department. A background in science, or science-related field, is desirable but not essential. The following gives an overview of the tasks required of the post holder, although the range of duties can vary. - Hartismere School - Address: Castleton Way, Eye, Suffolk IP23 7BL - Salary: £24,796 - £25,583 per annum, pro rata (£17,990 - £18,564 actual) - Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday), 40 weeks per year (term time +2 weeks) - Contract: Permanent, required from September 2026 - Reference: 8755. You will need to: - in conjunction with the Head of Department, to coordinate the work of a sixth form technician, who works 1 hour a day after school - ensure all equipment and materials are prepared for demonstration purposes or for use by teaching staff and pupils - liaise with and provide support to teaching staff regarding the practical experiments for lessons. - establish and maintain contact with appropriate bodies and organisations (such as CLEAPPS).
