Description Hammond Lumber Company, voted 2025's Best Places to Work in Maine, is seeking a Full-Time Metal Shop Production Operator for our Palmyra, Maine location. Job Responsibilities: - Production Operators receive orders, manufacture the orders efficiently and effectively, and work as part of the overall manufacturing team. - This position will work on multiple manufacturing machines with the ability to assist wherever needed. - Manufacturers are responsible for keeping the machines and facilities clean and maintained while mitigating potential safety hazards. - This position will be responsible for communicating with the metals supervisor as an integral part of the manufacturing team. - Follow all company policies and safety standards. - Complete orders by fabricating according to specs using metal bending and cutting machines. - Pick quality merchandise for customers and build transfer loads. - Perform vehicle forklift safety inspections. - Load and/or inspect loads to ensure the load is secure, and no unsafe vehicle or load leaves the yard. - Check loads for picking accuracy and correct errors as needed prior to delivery or transfer. - Contribute efforts to maintain a clean...
