Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY: Maintains, inspects, operates, and repairs building HVAC and refrigeration systems, hot water (gas, electric, and oil fired) systems and components at Babson College; adjusts those systems as necessary for optimal performance to maintain compliance with state/local building and heating/cooling codes and regulations by performing the following essential duties. The working hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The hourly rate will be $47.41. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Operate, adjust, and inspect all buildings’ HVAC, refrigeration systems and auxiliary equipment and components to detect hazards, malfunctions, the need for adjustment and/or replacement to such items as controls, thermostats, as well as other similar types of related equipment; monitor HVAC/R equipment and operating schedules on campus through the energy management software system and make the necessary corrections and adjustments to meet the buildings’ established operating guidelines.
