Design Engineer

Job description

Position Purpose: Plays a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of pneumatic/electronic control systems and sensing technology for the Commercial Vehicle market. This position will work closely with project teams to deliver innovative, robust, and cost effective product design solutions. Essential Functions: - Develop product designs via analytical methods to assure product durability and reliability prior to engineering release. Customer requirements should be considered and implemented into this process. - Manage development projects and use techniques to maintain/achieve both cost and performance targets as defined by the organization. - Prepare and/or create specialized technical documentation as required both internally and externally. Examples would include: Blueprints, specifications, layout drawings, test reports, and Customer installation instructions, etc. - Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers on as needed basis.
