DEPARTMENT: Philosophy POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Philosophy POSITION DETAILS: The Department of Philosophy, housed in the College of Arts and Letters, has one of the largest undergraduate philosophy programs in the California State University system. In addition to the general major, it offers major concentrations in Ethics, Politics, and Law and in Science, Reason and Values. It serves the campus and its STEM disciplines through its general education offerings, and offers courses in every GE category. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean. Part-time lecturers are instructional faculty with conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget.
