Position Summary: The Shop Mechanic for Power Contracting is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of construction vehicles and heavy equipment used in power and utility construction operations. This position supports field crews by ensuring all vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and compliant with DOT, OSHA, and company standards. Work is performed primarily at active job sites, with significant travel throughout the assigned region and occasional storm response support. Essential Functions: Conduct all work professionally while representing Power Contracting positively in diverse work environments. - Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, bucket trucks, and related construction machinery. - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. - Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aerial lift systems, booms, outriggers, and related components. - Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) services to reduce downtime and extend the life of fleet assets. -...
