Description POSITION SUMMARY: The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of associates involved in verifying, record keeping, allocation, and picking operations. Their primary objective is to ensure that outgoing shipments meet the business needs and targets on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet schedules. - Liaise with the Sales Team to coordinate shipping activities and ensure customer requirements are met. - Supervise and oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging of shipments. - Determine space requirements and proper positioning of shipments in trucks or containers. - Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and safety protocols. - Inspect material handling equipment for defects and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed. - Direct the movement of shipments from the shipping area to the staging area. - Prepare bills of lading and other shipping document...
