Software Engineer, BigQuery Metadata

Job description

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. - 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. - Experience in the following areas: data analytics, databases, SQL, and storage systems. Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. - Experience with C++ and Java. - Experience building infrastructure in Google Cloud or other Cloud providers. - Experience with high-performance scalable storage and distributed systems backends. - Experience building or operating large-scale database systems. - Understanding of enterprise workloads and passion for delighting enterprise customers.
