Position Status: Part time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 30 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview: Performs a variety of laboratory tasks in the ambulatory (clinic) setting, to include order management, specimen collection (venipuncture and capillary puncture specimens), and waived testing. Processes specimens to allow for safe transport when indicated. Provides specimen collection services in multiple clinic settings, including primary care and specialty care. Works closely with other laboratory personnel, Patient Care Services staff, healthcare providers, and patients to obtain high quality specimens while demonstrating the Stormont Vail Tenets. Education Qualifications: - High School Diploma / GED Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program may be substituted for education. Required Experience Qualifications: - Experience with phlebotomy. Preferred - Experience in a lab or hospital setting. Preferred - Venipuncture and capillary puncture experience.
