Engineering Technician - Automation - Plating Operations

Job Summary In this newly added role, the Engineering Technician – Automation is responsible for supporting Automation Engineering in the development, build, installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling with an emphasis on mechatronics. Job Description: - Takes a lead role in installing both single pieces of equipment and whole manufacturing lines. To include: - Works with equipment and line lay out drawings. - Conducts mechanical assembly, drilling and tapping, and alignment - Installs and integrates control items such as sensor and scanners. - Installs and automation systems, PLCs and required electrical enclosures. - Ensure and provide that the system installation is following the given schematics, electrical and process pipe line diagrams. - Provides trouble shooting during startup of equipment - Provides trouble shooting for PLC, I/O, sensor, industrial camera, scanner, motion controller connections. - Provides mechanical assembly on any in house design and build automation work cells. - Assembly of machine building aluminum extrusion profile systems (T-Slots or Sigma Profiles) - Participates in continuous improvement projects to enhance product performance and reliabil...
