Detroit Mobile Equipment Mechanic Hourly pay rate $38 - $39.50 per hour Work hours, M-F 6:45a-3p with a scheduled weekend (Sat & Sun 6:45a-3p) once a month. There is mandatory overtime that could push past the 3p leave time and mandatory call-ins (on time per week) that could have them coming in for repairs during off hours. Job Description: 1. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on: motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. 2. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments such as laser alignment tools, stethoscope, tachometer, infrared camera, ultra-sound and vibration analysis tools. 3. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand /power tools. 4.
