Senior Research Associate (f/m/d) in molecular plant breeding

Job description

We are seeking for a Senior Research Associate (f/m/d) in molecular plant breeding full time and limited to October 2027. You will work in the breeding technology team for maize and oilseed crops at KWS SAAT SE & Co KGaA in Einbeck, Germany. Your tasks: - Service oriented application of molecular markers within hybrid breeding programs for corn and oilseed crops (worldwide) - Coordination and performance of greenhouse programs for sampling of plant material for molecular genetics experiments - Performance of sequence-alignments and -assemblies for detection of sequence variants for molecular marker development - Planning of laboratory orders, sampling, analysis and interpretation of genotyping data as well as reporting of results to customers - Contribute to the expansion of standardization and automation of internal databases for genotyping processes and trait development Contribute your skills: - University degree (Bachelor, M.Sc.) in biology or agricultural sciences with a focus on breeding and molecular genetics or comparable. - Experience in the analysis of next generation sequencing data and genotypic data - Knowledge and practical experience in plant molecular biology and bi...
