Resident Engineer

Job description

Stantec’s Water practice is looking for a highly motivated Resident Engineer with large water and wastewater project experience in the Central Valley and Bakersfield/Fresno, California area. These projects consist of conveyance projects including water pipelines; sitework for municipal water and wastewater facilities; sewer lines; and infrastructure systems including treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure. Your Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for the technical supervision for the construction phase of projects. - Responsible for supervising Stantec staff, including development of Management plans, tracking career progress, mentoring, advocating for and approving timesheets and training/development requests. - Manage inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspector reports in accordance with clients’ requirements. - Act as liaison to design staff to respond to Contractors’ Requests for Information (RFIs) and review of submittals/shop drawings. - Serve as the primary point of contact on assigned construction contracts, with primary responsibility for construction contract administration and quality management. - Responsible for overall site safety, permit...
