Calista Corporation Regular: JOB SUMMARY: The Controller, Construction works under the guidance of the Corporate Controller by managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department and working closely with subsidiary management. This position also ensures that financial statements conform to accounting principles and regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Prepare monthly subsidiary financial statements to be consolidated into Calista Corp financial statements. - Prepare monthly internal required reports. - Review WIPs, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and project ledger to general ledger reconciliations. - Oversee the setup and maintenance of projects including work breakdown structures, billing and revenue formulas, and contract modifications. - Develop and monitor effective internal controls and modify or establish policies and procedures as necessary. - Assist with internal and external audits and reporting requirements for external sources. - Act as liaison for subsidiary internal client requirements and processes. - Mentor new and existing accounting staff. - Assure that duties, responsibilities, and authority of direct reports are clearly define...
