Description Purpose of Role: Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing (CON) is committed to the tripartite mission of teaching, research and creative/scholarly activity and professional and University service and public outreach. Common faculty responsibilities derive from faculty’s multiple roles as teachers, scholars, and community citizens within a University charged to serve the public good by the advancement and dissemination of knowledge. The role of individual faculty is relative to teaching, participation in the development of academic programs, engagement in research and scholarly activities, and support of the University’s public service mission and is dependent on the level and type of faculty appointment as well as academic preparation. This job description is a statement of minimum expectations and describes the level of performance expected of all faculty. In accordance with requirements of academic rank, consecutive-term and tenure track faculty are expected to perform at higher than minimum levels.
