Position Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician II ‐ Weekend will provide quality processed materials and equipment for safe patient care, as well as participate in the orientation/coaching/mentoring of new staff. Education, License & Cert: High School education or GED required. Central sterile processing certification preferred. Must be currently certified in sterile processing. Experience: 2 years experience in the surgical or relevant field. Must be able to follow detailed written and oral instructions. Must have good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the medical staff. Essential Functions: 1. Follows Standard Work in the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high‐level disinfection, and sterile storage areas to properly handle instruments/equipment to provide safe patient care. Utilizes instrument/equipment manufacturer’s instructions for use when necessary. 2. Communicate and work collaboratively with other staff in the department, as well as other units. Represents the department and hospital in a professional, courteous manner. 3. Attend and participate in departmental in‐services, huddles, and meetings. Understands key quality measures...
