Research Laboratory Technician-Associate

Job description

Under direct supervision, responsible for providing routine to moderately complex technical lab support for a research facility. Education: Experience: - Collects, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples. - Performs a variety of tests, using both routine and special techniques and methods; collects, evaluates and interprets data. - Assists in report writing, maintains records of expenditures and tracks chemical and supply inventory. - Sets up equipment and materials for course instruction. - Performs routine library work, including finding literature and copying articles. - Prepares stock solutions, chemical reagents, and commonly used samples. - Performs all other duties as assigned. - Hands-on lab experience and animal handling experience. - Ability to operate laboratory equipment. - Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality. - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - High school diploma or GED is required. - One (1) year of experience is required.
