Senior Health Information Management Tech - HIM (Hybrid, Up to 19.99 hours/week) - ( 2602568 ) Description EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: - Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent - Two (2) years of HIM experience or equivalent experience. JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Health Information Management (HIM) Technician provides advanced technical skills in the day-to-day operations of HIM. This position involves independent judgment and decision-making to receive, maintain and evaluate health records per current policies, standards, regulations, and local/state/federal laws. In addition, under the direction of the Team Lead and/or Manager, performs more complex health records analyses and provides technical guidance and training. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Analyzes complex data for completeness and accuracy to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, such as CMS, The Joint Commission, and the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations - Serves as advisor to HIM Technicians for analysis of more complex health records and advises on correct process and procedures - Processes requests for the release of confidential information accordi...
