Job description

Maintains, inspects, operates, and repairs building HVAC and refrigeration systems, hot water (gas, electric, and oil fired) systems and components at Babson College; adjusts those systems as necessary for optimal performance to maintain compliance with state/local building and heating/cooling codes and regulations by performing the following essential duties. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Operate, adjust, and inspect all buildings HVAC, refrigeration systems and auxiliary equipment and components to detect hazards, malfunctions, the need for adjustment and/or replacement to such items as controls, thermostats, as well as other similar types of related equipment. - Maintain all buildings’ HVAC, refrigeration systems, auxiliary equipment and components such as cooling towers, pumps, as well as other related types of equipment. - Repair or replace all buildings’ faulty HVAC, refrigeration equipment, motors, controls, valves, towers, dampers, regulators, gaskets, flanges, seals, pumps, draft fans and compressors, including related systems such as chilled water or condenser water loops. - Document all repairs, maintenance and comments on assigned service order work slips; record routine equipmen...
