- Spotswood location – Market leader in packaging solutions - 9-day fortnight, 35-hour week - Stable opportunity with a great team culture Role Details: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Spotswood Glass Plant. This is a dayshift role, working 35 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight. Working in the Mould Repair Department and reporting to the Mould Repair Manager, you will be responsible for repairing Glass Container moulding equipment to ensure Glass quality. What you’ll do: - Ensure that all company safety and quality standards are implemented and applied to all work performed. - Preparation of Mould hangers & componentry for Job Changeover process. - Cleaning & inspection of used die hangers - A variety of bench fitting duties to repair the hangers such as welding, filing, hand grinding and polishing - Milling and lathe repairs on a few interchangeable parts for glass moulding machinery - You will work with a variety of hand tools, gauges & measuring equipment - Help with the management of stock levels to ensure work continuity What you’ll bring: - Fitter / machinist trade qualification with milling and lathe experience in an industrial environment, preferably...
