Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for a PRN Wound Care Nurse (LVN) . Starting rate: $35.00/hr: This position is responsible for providing specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and other skin integrity issues. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing and patient outcomes. Essential Functions: It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. - Perform comprehensive wound assessments and document findings accurately. - Develop individualized wound care plans based on evidence-based practices. - Administer wound treatments including debridement, dressing changes, and negative pressure wound therapy. - Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans as needed. - Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention and management. - Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals. - Maintain accurate and timely documentat...
