Job Title Associate Vice President for Artificial Intelligence Agency: Texas A&M University Department: Associate Provost Academic Enhancement Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate Job Location: College Station, Texas Job Type: Staff Job Description: What we want: Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic Enhancement, the Associate Vice President for Artificial Intelligence (AVP‑AI) will coordinate Texas A&M University’s institution-wide strategy for artificial intelligence, advancing its responsible use across teaching, research, and operations. Working within the Office of the Provost, the AVP‑AI will coordinate cross‑disciplinary AI initiatives, foster collaboration among academic and administrative units, and identify opportunities for AI to enhance institutional effectiveness. The role engages broadly with faculty, staff, and students to support innovation, workforce development, and the university’s strategic priorities.
