Position Overview Title: Administrative Scale Buyer (Metals, Auto Division) Reports to: Recycling Center Coach Direct reports: None Overview: The Administrative Scale Buyer serves as a front-line representative for our retail recycling centers, handling both administrative tasks and the purchasing of incoming metals. This role is responsible for inspecting, weighing, grading, and purchasing scrap material from customers, while also managing the related transaction records, inventory tracking, and shipping coordination. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Accountabilities: Administrative Support & Transaction Processing: - Input all transactions into computer systems accurately, including generating invoices and bills of lading. - Prepare and distribute necessary shipping/receiving documentation. - Set up new accounts and manage daily cash, check, and credit procedures in compliance with company policy. - Maintain required records of incoming and outgoing shipments and daily yard inventory.
