Job description

Position Summary ​ The Cutter will be responsible for processing upholstery production pieces by hand cutting upholstery for Living Spaces designed furniture. Will be responsible for preparing fabrics for clean cuts. This includes spreading fabric layers, removing and avoiding fabric damages before cutting. Responsible to ensure efficient product movement and storage. Position Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares fabric for cutting by spreading it out in flat layers, smoothing out creases and checking the fabric for damage or defects. Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces by eyeing it and/or with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions Use power and hand tools to cut fabric to fit the framework in furniture assembly Work with high-quality products and leather products Independently and accurately arrange, mark and cut fabric patterns Identify fabric flaws if any and maximize material yield Contribute to the team objectives and work efficiently in order to meet production timeframes Discuss complications or obstacles with manager and brainstorm solution...
