Total Number of Openings 10 Chevron’s Shale & Tight Business is accepting online applications for the position of Field Specialist Apprentice located at our Midland, TX, Orla, TX, Pecos, TX, Carlsbad, NM, or Hobbs, NM , assets through March 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time). The Field Specialist Apprenticeship is designed to build technical skills in the production operations discipline and gain hands-on experience in field operations. As part of the program, apprentices will work with a range of equipment and systems such as production facilities, production wells, water disposal and compressors, artificial lift systems (gas lift, ESP, rod pump, and plunger), VRUs, pumps, and more, providing valuable exposure to real-world applications in the industry. Through a combination of structured training and immersive on-the-job learning, Apprentices are introduced to operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining oil and gas production in partnership with Field Operations, Integrated Operations Center, and Maintenance and Reliability team members.
