Family Physicians for High Volume Urgent Care Clinics

Job description

We are looking for family physicians to cover Urgent Care shifts in Kitchener-Waterloo. The shifts are open 7 days a week throughout the year. The hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 3 PM on weekends, with no evening shifts. The facility offers Nurse Triage support. The compensation is approximately $1800-2500 post overhead. Two walk-in medical care facilities serving Kitchener and Waterloo area. The clinics have been in operation since 1990 and are owned and operated by Five (5) Family & Emergency Medicine Physicians who are currently active and working at the clinics. 200-225 patients at each location per day. There are 2-3 physicians working each shift. Atmosphere is collegial and fast paced. There are 11 examining rooms at each location. Because the clinics see substantial number of patients who require non-OHIP services such as notes off work, WSIB, pre-employment physicals, driver’s physicals and out of country patients our gross billings are significantly higher than other comparable clinics.
