Patient Care Tech - Behavioral Health Unit

Job description

Work Shift: Night - 12 Hour (United States of America)7:00pm - 7:00am (As Needed Basis) Provides patient care under the supervision of the Staff Nurse to include but not limited to assisting with ADL's specimen collection (non-invasive), transportation of patients (unmonitored), patient preparation for procedures, collection of vital signs and unit specific procedures and tasks which require documented competencies. Responsible for fulfillment of Emory Healthcare mission, values, and quality commitment. Participates as a team member to ensure appropriate resources are available to all internal and external customers. Responsible for all other duties assigned. Education & Training: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Experience: One (1) year experience as a patient care tech (or similar title) in a hospital. Hospital experience may be substituted with Two (2) years patient care assisting experience in other health care facilities or One (1) year experience as a medical technician or hospital corpsman in the U.S. Armed Forces.
