Summary: Flex Team Operations Associate/Monitor Tech will function in a supportive role to a registered nurse and work collaboratively with the health care team in the management of patient care. This position on the Flex Team allows the applicant to work with diverse patient populations; Flex Team OA/MTs will float to multiple units in the adult hospital based on staffing needs. Flex Team OA/MTs report to the Clinical Manager but daily activities are coordinated by the clinical supervisor. Responsibilities include organizing the patient medical record, filing documents in a patient record, facilitating communication among staff, relaying messages/information to staff members, facilitating bed management and patient throughput, performing necessary functions to process direct admissions to the unit, acting as a receptionist for visitors to the units and also as a business partner to the department and clinical staff, orienting patients and families to the unit, answering routine questions, multitasking, observing cardiac monitors, identifying and reporting irregular rhythms to a registered nurse for intervention, recording ECG monitor strips and ensuring maintenance of all monitori...
