Job Overview A Software Engineering Group Lead leads a software development team as they create software solutions for AEVEX, typically related to unmanned systems. They serve as a "player/coach", working alongside the team to ensure projects are successful while mentoring in coding, debugging, testing, code review, and troubleshooting, to ensure best practices. This persons serves as an in-house expert, both for managers from other departments who need software solutions and the less experienced staff within the Software department. Essential Functions: - Responsible for all aspects of the software development process including requirements, design, implementation, functional test, troubleshooting - Work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects - Lead specification, design, development, maintenance, integration, documentation, debug and testing of software for Windows and embedded software applications in C and C++ - Identify and implement best practices in simulation methodologies, tools, and frameworks - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of software engineers - Ability to lead tea...
