Description GENERAL SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment and performs diagnostic x-rays on patients as requested, in order to provide the radiologists and/or physicians with diagnostic information. Assists in preparing procedure rooms as needed. Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. - Complete Radiologic Imaging and procedures, obtaining optimal images for physician review according to policy and protocol. - Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results. - Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. - Perform medical care as needed, such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs and giving emergency treatments. - Maintains patient confidentiality. - Documents duration of radiation, tests equipment weekly, examines protective x-ray aprons for integrity and documents the results of tests/examinations. - Maintain, clean and report any issues with equipment. - Administers appropriate high quality, patient-focused health c...
