Job description

The Construction Technician is responsible for quality installation practices during installation of Hotwire services including video, voice and internet for commercial and residential applications including but not limited to common areas, IDFs and MDFs. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist installation and other teams with customer activation of fiber-optic telecommunication in subscriber homes (e.g., pulling low-voltage wire); including single family, condo and apartments in various locations. - Install and service full video services, including analog, digital, and HD TV. - Install, service, and disconnect telephone and internet customers; punch down telephone lines. - Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies, which includes practicing safe driving techniques. - Install all types of CAT5/CAT6 drop wire and install connectors on CAT5/CAT6 drop wire. - Install conduits and distribution wires. - Troubleshoot video, telephone, internet, RF radios, omni directional antennas problems from any telecommunications demark to customer premise equipment. - Successfully install all ancillary equipment provided to subscribers. - Test and tone all wir...
