Description The Department of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago seeks part-time lecturers to develop and teach courses in the Master of Science in Threat and Response Management program ( https://threatresponse.bsd.uchicago.edu/ ). These positions are renewable for up to three year terms. Compensation is dependent on qualifications. These positions are benefits ineligible. Combining rigorous academic inquiry with emergency management practice, the program is designed to help students prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises and disaster. The face of emergency management is changing rapidly. Alongside traditional threats and disasters, governments, businesses, and communities are facing emerging challenges due to environmental threats, infrastructure protection and cybersecurity risk. The program operates in an executive, monthly, hybrid format and includes nine (9) hours of instruction one three-day weekend each month on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Classes are scheduled during morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Courses meet for three consecutive months during each 9 or 10-week quarter for a total of 27 instructional hours. In general,...
