Job description

Work Shift: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 5:00pm (40 Weekly Hours) Under general supervision, provides initial patient triage, registration, and administrative services, assists with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as directed and dictated by established protocol. May perform other routine clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, assisting with telephone coverage, patient check in and out. All other job related duties as assigned. Education & Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assistant diploma program. These programs are offered at proprietary schools. Experience: One (1) year medical assistant. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Certified Medical Assistant credential. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations.
