We are currently seeking a highly skilled Applications Developer in support of a dynamic team in McLean, VA. This role is ideal for a professional ready to take on the challenge of transitioning a Java/Springboot application interfacing with an Elasticsearch data tier to a cutting-edge Python-based solution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the legacy search environment while simultaneously developing new features and ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the next-generation platform in coordination with an Agile Development team. Responsibilities: Support the transition of a Java/Springboot application to a Python-based solution. Maintain the legacy search environment until it can be retired. Develop new features and provide ongoing operations and maintenance for the next-generation platform. Work within a dynamic Agile environment, supporting integration with multiple applications.
