School Age Lead Assistant (Seasonal)

Description Position Summary: The School Age Lead Assistant will provide a supportive, respectful, safe, and healthy environment for children enrolled in the YWCA Hartford Region’s Kidslink program and plan and manage the delivery of age-appropriate programs and activities that foster the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of the children enrolled in the program. Essential Functions of the Job: Program Delivery · Plans and manages the delivery of age-appropriate programs, including homework help, and activities that foster the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of the children enrolled in the program; · Identifies children needing additional support and implements differentiated instruction; · Ensures that the Site Supervisor or Manager, School Age and Summer Programs is aware of program-related issues that may impact service quality, licensing, child safety, health, and parent satisfaction within 48 hours; · Monitors facility equipment and material used are fully compliant with State licensing requirements; Coaching and Mentoring: · Identifies issues among program staff and implements appropriate interventions to maintain a safe and orderly en...
