Tractor Trailer Driver

Job description

Position Summary Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between manufacturing plants, customers, warehouses, and suppliers. This role includes performing vehicle inspections, assisting with loading and unloading, and ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. The driver maintains equipment, follows all safety regulations, reports any issues, and supports general material handling operations as required. Major Duties: - Drive company truck and deliver products to customers and outside storage facilities. - Drive the company truck and make pick-ups at suppliers. - Complete vehicle circle checks and pre/post inspections on every trip. - Accountable for ensuring the truck and trailers are in good operating condition and meet regulatory requirements. - Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisors. - Perform other material handling functions such as loading and unloading trucks.
