Ready to Start Your Career with the City of Temple? Summary: Resource Coordinator, under the general supervision of the Manager, improves resident quality of life and preserves housing stock. Through intake and Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections, the role assists low-to-moderate income and disabled citizens via the Housing Improvement Program and external referrals. Responsibilities include implementing neighborhood plans, coordinating local projects, and building partnerships with support agencies for the benefit of the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Identifies and maintains a working knowledge of local and community resources and referral agencies to assist residents, business owners, and property owners to achieve voluntary code compliance and assistance for home repair, housing and local programs - Connects neighbors to community resources including home repair, new construction, medical services, mental health services, crime victim services, employment and training programs, food pantries, public assistance, Social Security Income/Social Security Disability Insurance, childcare, transportation, subsidized housing opportunities and legal assistanc...
