Job description

Properly identifies patient, draws blood samples and sends to laboratory for analysis. The Phlebotomist Sr. maintains records of tests performed and blood samples taken, and may perform waived or moderate complex tests in laboratory setting. Also, the Phlebotomist Sr. may assist in the supervision and training of lower level Phlebotomists. One year in phlebotomy with demonstrated proficiency in all age groups - Productivity - Performs an acceptable productivity level without a significant error rate. Identifies patients, collects samples and labels specimens according to established protocol in order to provide optimal sample quality for laboratory analysis. - Coordinates, plans, and utilizes time efficiently in an effort to prioritize and organize duties while remaining flexible to meet the needs of the laboratory service customers.
