Position Summary/Purpose: The Science and Pre-Health Peer Advisor will assist the College of Natural Science's Science and Pre-Health Advisor and students at GCU who are pursuing medical school, pre-health, and science programs. They will meet with students to discuss career goals, needed general requirements to be competitive for medical school and pre-health programs and science programs. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions: - Meets with students through scheduled appointments or walk-in office hours. - Delivers classroom presentations - Processes data and updates student outcomes - Builds resources, posters and standard operating procedures - Manages social media and email inboxes - Handles CNS faculty letter of recommendation processes. - Assists with GCU Pre-Health Day when applicable or other relevant events or club presentations Equipment Used and Responsibility: Cell phone, otherwise, will provide equipment Qualifications: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
